Black Roses

by JoJo Rhinehart   Dec 7, 2006

Black roses,
Follow me to my sleep,
They haunt me sorrowfully,
In my dreams,
I scream,
Out loud,
To the people I see,
Black roses,
Cover my mouth,
So no one hears me,
A single rose,
Stands in place,
Red, up tall it shows,
A shining hope,
In a pitiful space,
But this rose,
Though towering high,
And proud,
It withers,
And dies, but,
Does not make any sound,
For it failed,
The world's Final test,
And death,
Is where it's left to rest
Now, all I can see
Is a black rose,
That's haunting me,
Though I close my eyes
I can't block it out,
Death calling my name,
I try to shout,
Black rose's hands reach for me, Death, all I can see,
I reach out for a hand,
A savior, a must,
Black roses,
Tell me...
Ashes to Ashes,
Dust to Dust,
You couldn't find someone,
To love or to trust.
