For you this was actually really dark but you did it wonderfully. Just craving to be in the light and yet you know there's not a chance. Great job once again.

Overall you have a fantastic poem here.
You kept the ryhme scheme steady and the wording didn't sound forced in any way apart from one

"I yearn to step into their golden light
To feel needed and loved as much"

It fits nicely, it just sounded more forced than the other lines. But then again, it is a hard rhyme and you did a brilliant job overall =)
