Rumors/Gossip

They weave a path
Full of thorny vines
Of hate, betrayal
And mistrust
Like serpents
Of oppression
They come
Seeking you out
Delivering their gift
Of hate and envy
Then they turn
And retreat
Through the path they forged
You must chase after them
To find their source
Along the way
You might get pricked
By the thorns
Of hate, betrayal,
And mistrust
Sometimes you go on
With just a minor scratch
Other times
You aren’t so lucky
You escape with a huge gash
That’s sure to leave a scar
Along the way
You might find a dead end
And have to go back
And start all over again
You also might find a path
That isn’t safe as it seems
The deceiving path
Costs you precious time
Because you must backtrack
And choose another

(will continue eventually)

I thought that this was a very good poem about life and the obstacles that are presented through delaings with people and the lies that change the course of our lives. I have a poem about this topic, but I haven't posted it on here.
