Vanishing Thirst For Knowledge

by Fighter (Ariane L.)   Dec 8, 2006

Failing to believe in herself once more, she cries herself to sleep.
Others warnings are but a faint voice to her, whispers.
Lost in her own world, she continues through this hell;
She is desperately trying to breath once more.

Drowning in these formulas, she continues to prevail.
Resisting temptation to surrender to old habits,
She buries her head in the dreadful manuals.
The final week of exhaustion does not awaken hope anymore.

Months passed as she had remained unshattered.
Yet the feeling of accomplishment eventually vanished,
Leaving her with a bitter taste in her mouth.
She is no longer thirsty for knowledge.
