A shallow reflection

When i look in the mirror
what do i see?
a shallow reflection
of only me

i see what was once there
but is no longer
something that completes me
something that makes me stronger

like a missing piece of a puzzle
the other half a heart
lost among the rubble
torn and ripped apart

empty space beside me
a hole left unfilled
never to be taken
my hopes have been killed

a shallow reflection
this is what i see
sense there is no more of you
theres no point in being me
