You're already aware, But none of that matters. The sight I can't bare, As my beaten soul shatters. It must've been first sight, The sweet sound of your voice. I'd try to stand and fight, I just don't have that choice. As my eyes gaze blankly, Into the darkest depths of space, It finally seems, quite frankly, That there won't be my place. I truly believed it'd go smooth. I hadn't the slightest chance. If just I can somehow move, Through the brilliant dance. It came the day, When I'd be brave. "Please," I pray, "It's this I crave." The worst that could occur? I could do without. Now I'd much rather prefer, To what came about. The time had come, But that moment went grim. I wasn't the one, You loved him. They don't understand. I can't move on. Nothing worked as I planned, And my chance is gone. You were the answer, The feeling, I can't deny. I tried to fight your cancer, But you're not the guy. I don't mind being friends, I won't say it's a mistake. I would wait to the ends. But that's a risk I can't take.
