Eternal Dust

by Ashes   Dec 10, 2006

We stand among the battle torn,
The ones life doesn't love.
The beaten, the hexed,
The condemned and the shoved.
They're coming for us, and I have the question,
"Will you die with me?
Will you remain here, as they tear at us
Until our insides they can see?
They want to break us down, baby.
They want to rip us apart.
Will you try to protect me from life?
And heal the wounds in my heart?"
Alas, you fall before me,
And sympathize on your knees.
The love you have for another,
In your eyes I clearly see.
I watch with hate as you walk away,
And the darkness blocks my eyes.
You left me here to bleed forever,
To wallow in your lies.
So now I say goodbye to you,
As life cuts me with precision.
Eternal dust I remain, my love,
Because of your decision.
