Kisses fell that night So did the blood drops Tears made it sweeter On a beating heart that stops She felt him slowly kneeling Wrist full of scars with pain Her mind kept on saying I shall not let him drain The moment he told His ruthless suicide plan He kept reminding himself Of all the problems from which he ran And she felt weak From all the things in her life Then she saw a notebook And on the counter laid a knife His words kept on echoing In her guilty blue eyes Counterattacks of hatred In her reflection she saw she cried She believed in true love And that it came with a price But something other then love Made her hurt herself twice She pulled on the knife Felt it in her hand She felt shes driven her life Into one of those dead ends And she grasped the handle tightly Not to let the knife slip or fall And she pulled it against her will Remembering how she felt so small A wave of unholy pain Crouched through her soul She closed her eyes And there she saw a girl who had it all She grabbed the notebook from the counter, Scribbled in a few stripes Dipped her fingers in blood and Saw if she could write Why did you leave me, She wrote it in her pain You told me you loved me, Remember when we danced in the rain? You kept on embracing me Whenever I seemed sad And who was the one that Gave me all that hope I once had? She felt blood dripping Out of her ruby red lips But she kept on writing, Forgot she wanted to write this: This is my gift to you, Its not wrapped up in shiny strings It may not seem pretty but because of it An angel just lost its wings I'm sorry if I used you, Or hurt your heart in any way I never meant to do that, My mind has been lately astray Don't forget to mention me In your prayers, I hope you wont I know you'll want to visit me sometimes But please, for loves sake, don't She wanted to write a lot more, But she weakened by each breath She just pushed the knife away And silently walked into death.
