Another day

Yet another day has passed
hours we cant replace
did you do all you could?
as footsteps we cant retrace

did you set yourself some goals
that you could achieve today
did you say to yourself
you would help the world some way

have you ever helped someone
just listened to them moan
did you see how it made them feel
when they realised they werent alone

so you didn't solve world hunger
and you didn't find the cure
but its the smallest things you do
that shows your heart is pure

did you hear them call her fat
and turn to walk away
or did you tell her shes beautiful
in every possible way

yet another day has passed
did you even up the score
don't worry for tomorrow brings
a chance to try once more.
