Take my hand mummy

by Lorraine   Dec 11, 2006

Take my hand mummy
Take my hand
Why are you resenting?
When I was willing to fend
For every wrong u did
I stood and defend
Everyone thought I was mad
But I just held your hand
Why are going now mummy
When I need your hand
Its all so tough mummy
Stay and lend me your hand
Held yours
Through times of fear
And times of rage
No matter how painful mummy
I stood there with your hand
Hold me mummy
Hold my hand
Why are you going now
When I need your hand
You used to squeeze mine when it was tough
Even when my hands hurt I never let go
I knew you needed my hand
Dont give up so soon mummy
I need you to fight
Fight mummy fight
Fight with all your might
Dont leave mummy dont go
Stay and hold my hand
Mummy noooo.
Why mummy you let go
I know you fought because you left a mark
On my hand to say you fought
Thank you mummy for what u did
You fought for me when you were weak
And I stood there and urged you on
But with one last gasp you were gone
I know you were tired
And fought so strong
Thank you mummy
Now I urge you on
Hope and faith is now my destiny
To hold on to what you fought for
Till the very end of that second when
You held my hand and carried on
