Forest of Freedom

by Jennifer Smith   Dec 11, 2006

Outside of these stone walls
I've been to a place filled with freedom
I run into the forest finding a stream
I kneel down on the grass and look at the water
I see a young girl, soon to be queen
But I don't want to rule
I want to stay young and adventure more through these beautiful woods.
Looking at the reflection with dismay,
I scoop the water and splash it
on my face.
