Haunted By The Past

by Clonjey   Dec 11, 2006

I put bad experiences in the past so their memories won't last.
But then it's only masked, and never truly trashed.
The illusion that the present is the solution...
That's delusion, there is no resolution.
Five grapes taste bad when one is spoiled.
A memory I had makes future ones foiled.

Any remnant of that element and sadness is eminent.
History's eternal, you'll never see the end of it.
Yet we're doomed if that memory is ever deleted,
because a memory forgotten is an action repeated.
So suppression won't decrease my depression at all.
No, digression won't prevent my regression at all.
But I guess the solution is not obsession at all.
We should use bad memories as a lesson, that's all.
