Teasing

by The Sky is Falling   Dec 11, 2006

They tease me every day,
Mostly in the same way.
They show off lots of wit,
Just have to grin and bear it.

They make me so mad,
not knowing it hurts so bad.

Someone grabs my bag,
Keep-away and call me a hag.
They drop it at my feet,
Bow my head and take my seat.

Some call me a s***,
Like a knife-wound in the gut.

Classmates do not care,
Unless, of course, Im in their hair.
Thinking I can only lose,
It doesnt matter what I choose.

Make me feel like dung,
Plus a split-rib-ruptured lung.

Verbally theyve hit me,
What to do I now can see.
Just leave around a letter,
Explaining why its so much better.

Soon there wont be me,
Closed garage and turn the key.

Shocked to the very core,
Classmates want to hear no more.
Been nice to her, not one bit,
And so shed given up and quit.

And though no one had used knives,
Passiveness had hurt all their lives.

And isnt it a curse,
That such a thing occurs or worse.
We now can see all things a new,
And learn what actions and words do.

It turned lots of hearts,
That day there were a lot of brand new starts.

This is very nice. You kept a really sympathetic tone through out the whole thing. You compared the pain of emotion/verbal teasing beautifully. The only suggestion I have is, although your word choice was good, the rhymes were a bit predictable. Overall great job.
