She walks away, as if no one could care.
She walks away, the pain she can no longer bear.
She walks on and on, she can’t take anymore.
She walks forever, thinking life is a bore.
She stops suddenly and turns around,
Her face so sullen, creased with a frown.
She looks through me, as if I’m not there,
Her eyes piercing red, yet looking only at air.
She lost the battle, though well fought.
In a web of darkness she’s been caught.
She still looks around, and sees no one.
She still walks the path of lies undone.
