I must away

by katie!   Dec 11, 2006

It has been too long now, you must see it in my eyes
My shoulders grow weary as my body cries
I have written every sonnet, sang from every bough and branch
But I cannot, No my dear I cannot, Love you anymore

Every day I have lost, oh Lord, you cannot save me now
I am too far gone, too deceived to ever realize
And it hurts, it hurts so much more than I thought
But it is enough, I cannot base my life around what I despise

I am but a wanderer, stare upon the streetlamps with no desire
You still stand, as I weep, you are beauty as is hell's fire
I see you on the horizon, silent and majestic
But still ever so foreboding through my hatred

Let me go, I beg of you, release me from your service
I can never leave you alone, but I am breaking
I am falling ever deeper within the constant time
Cut me from your service, I am no longer yours for the taking

Freedom, I have forgotten it, so caught up in you, what you were
But you do not feel, you do not remember
As I do, as I do throughout everyday
Rest assured I will never forget, but for now I know I must, away

Oh my dear katie...this was a sad write.
Breaking free is always hard but you must do what is best for you.
The loss of love is never easy to accept but change may bring new opportunities never before expected!
    Keep up the good work.
