Why is being loved to much to ask for

I have only ever wanted
just to be loved
but getting through this heart ache
has proven just enough

he didnt know what he done
he only broke my heart in two
shattered it in just 6 words
those words changed my life

I told him the i loved him
he told me he loved me to
he lied and i just wanted to die
i couldnt handle it

I trusted him
I told him what i have told no one
every little secret
he knew

i thought maybe we could be
together forever
But i thought wrong
he didnt love me

he couldnt even see how much he ment to me
i cant live without him
he is my life
