Your love happened so fast,
Blossomed so freely,
None of us could see,
One day you met, the next you're in love.
Thoughts of marriage and kids filled your minds,
Yet the small steps were forgotten in the time,
You rushed on through,
No care in the world,
What good is sense when you have true love?

Then he cheated,
He told you himself,
You forgave him, he was honest,
"I won't do it again." he promised.
Again he did it,
And again he told you,
Around and around, in a circle you went,
Once more it happened,
Things started to change,
Then you heard the awful truth,
He lied again and broke his promise,
But this time its different,
Another girl got pregnant,
By the guy who swore he loved you.

You broke down in the hall,
Sank to the floor,
Tears streamed down your face,
As you had to see the horrible truth,
He cheated on you, way more than once,
Lied to you and yet expected you to still love and forgive him.
But no, now its too late.
He could've stopped himself,
Remember your love for each other,
But now it's too late,
And the past cant and wont change.

Your fist slammed the locker,
I felt the tears sting my eyes,
How could he do this to you?
Why does it hurt so bad?
I saw your torment, felt your pain.
The hurt filled your eyes,
And you started to cry,
Again and again you stopped yourself,
And again and again it started back up.
How could someone who claimed to have loved you,
Hurt you so bad?
How could someone you trusted so much,
Do this to you and still expect you to stay?
We hugged and you cried,
I tried to be strong,
If only in your eyes,
Still, the tears were there.

But there's something you've seemed to forget,
You forgot who's here for you.
I can't say forget him,
Or he's not worth your tears,
Because some part of you must think he is.
But none of it can matter anymore,
He's hurt you too many times,
But no matter how many heartaches you go through,
Whenever you need me, I'll always be here for you.
