Im looking back
At all the time Ive wasted
And all the things Ive done
That I shouldnt have

Im looking back
At who I was
Who I was
Before I fell apart

Im looking hard
Deep down inside of me
I cant remember
What I was like before this

This depression bites bitter
These wounds cut deep
And these scars
They change me forever and for always

This hole Ive dug myself
Seems way too deep
I dont think that I
Can climb out in time

I try to remember
A time before this darkness
Where my best days
Werent marked in silence

The pain that I endure
Is what I feed on
And though Id like it to be
At the same time, I dont want it gone

In a way I guess
It sustains me
It is my day
And without it Im nothing

I remember days before this
Where I used to smile and laugh
When my greatest moments
Werent stifled by inadequacy

I remember days of old
Days where I used to want to wake up
And the times before
I shed tears of scarlet
