Realizing

by Kelleigh   Mar 25, 2004

When someone hurts you
The pain always lingers.
Feeling the knives in your back
And the pins in your fingers.

Everyday you take a pill
To stop the pain you feel.
Everyone tells you to get over it
You'll just have to deal.

But then you can't take it
You decide to just give in.
There are so many thing to do
Where would you begin?

You can take a knife
And cut your wrists real deep.
Then you can lie in your bed
And fall into forever sleep.

You can take a thousand pills
And suffer along the way.
Writing a note to your parents,
Saying you can't stay.

The pain you feel will soon go away
You'll forget anything went wrong.
You'll smile and thank your friends
For helping you all along.

Your poem is amazing, you touch deep to the soul. You should keep writing, I'd like to see more of your work. I think all of us have one time or another felt as you express in your poem, however some are never willing to admit it to them selves or others, I give you alot of credit.
Please if you will take a moment to view my poems. Thanks.
    keep up the great work.
