Words have the power
To make you laugh
To make you smile

The power to make
Your heart sore
To express hopes and dreams

They also have the power
To be mean

So be careful
Choose wisely
because words have
The power to make
Others bleed

I had the misfortune to watch my bosses 15 year old boy be very cruel with his choice of words. I don't think he realized he hurt her feelings.

    The meaning behind this poem is very strong. Words are often used as a mechanism for hurt, which is a sad fact. Your poem could have been longer, and the stanzas didn't follow any precise pattern, but it was well-written nonetheless.
