Rainfall

She walks outside, while the rain comes pouring down.
She liked when it rained, no one could see the tears all around.
She looked to the sky while the rain washed away her tears.
This is what she continued to do for years and years.

Her first heartbreak she walked out her door.
Out on her lawn while it started to pour.
She looked to the sky to embrace the rain.
Hoping it would wash away all her pain.

With the loss of her father she stumbled outside.
Hoping to get rid of the tears she wanted to hide.
She fell to her knees while the tears did fall.
While the rain erased them all.

When she found out she was pregnant at only sixteen
she ran to her lawn away from the world so mean.
She looked up to the sky to watch the rain free fall
While she tried to prove she'd make it through it all.

Through heartbreaks to deaths the rain has hidden her tears.
It has gotten her through everything these past couple years.
But one day she went outside to make the tears end.
She went to the rain to make it all mend.
But now the rain, it doesn't fall
She can no longer conceal the tears that just need to fall.
