Bestfriend till the end

5th grade we walked,
sitting on the benches we talked.
Mid quarter we grew close,
and like twins we both grew hallos.

6th grade we were in the same class,
we played and gossiped on the grass.
And fights we might have had plenty,
but we held tight together when the weather got windy.

7th grade we slowly grew apart,
but then again we had a new fresh start.
We got back together,
and we hoped,
we hoped hard it would be this way forever.

8th grade came,
we remained the same.
Till that one night,
they put an end to our light.
My mother said I was moving,
but you were too and it was soothing.
Isn\'t it amazing we are going to the same place?
And not a single difference not even a trace.

But now December has come my friend,
and your stay here has come to an end.
And in six months I will come so we wait,
But I\'m afraid it will get too late.
Such a long time apart,
will we be able to again get a fresh start?

I will miss you because we were like sisters,
and when I read this it brings tears to my eyes.
Though along the path we may encouter bruisers,
Don\'t worry, because here your best friend lies.

I am coming soon,
just not soon enough.
And these 6 months are going to be tough.
But just like the cow jumped over the moon,
I\'m gonna make it easy,
as easy as licking of a spoon.

We were bestfriends thats not a lie,
and the friendship we hope may never die.
So I am dedicating this poem to you my friend,
in hopes that our friendship will never end.
