Friends

by Josh Barrett   Dec 13, 2006

I can tell you how that day was,
how I felt and how I dealt.

I can tell you what I did,
after that happened.

I guess a promise never lasts,
cause thats how it was.
I guess we will never be,
like we was.

We built it up,
and watched it fall,
and now we dont,
even call.
Like it was nothing,
to you at all,
I sat there,
and watched it fall.
And like we promised,
like we promised it would never end,
like we promised to be one thing,
we arents even friends.

A promise cant be kept,
between us,
as you see and as I see,
like it never was.

I remember,
holding you,
but not one kiss,
to gasp onto.
Only certain things I could do.

Do you remember?
Do you remember?
Like I remember?
That last December?

On that snowy and cold night,
staring at your eyes,
this feeling never dies,
and it never will.

You just left and said nothing
but only those words,
the words that is a breakup line,
we can still be friends.

Do you remember?
Like I remember?
Can we remember?
On the last December?

Time will only show,
time will only tell,
if it will build,
like it fell.
