My Heavenly Lullaby

by myshiningstar14   Dec 14, 2006

Courted in the presence
of his saccharine soul,
here I know,
I hold,
a voice so tender
that will always
surrender
to the faintness
of my touch.

His voice renders
my love upon the
starry night, and it
kisses the cracked
appealing walls
that are now
revealing our hurt.

My heavenly lullaby,
I think of you on
two occasions,
day and night.

My heavenly lullaby,
I will hold onto you
like I've held onto
life and love you
like I've loved the
sun.

My heavenly lullaby,
I love you on two
occasions,
when I'm with you
and when I'm
without you.

My heavenly lullaby,
I will need you like
I've needed the
heart that beats
within me,
the heart,
you have.

The night,
though its so silent,
scorches,
lighting a torch
for all the world to
see how much you
mean to me.

My heavenly lullaby,
you are the one.
My heavenly lullaby,
you are a believer of
the Son.
My heavenly lullaby,
you are the one.
My heavenly lullaby,
you are
you are the one.

    "My heavenly lullaby,

Just beautiful. The whole poem was gorgeous and the language you use is almost magical, it flows so fluidly.
    Excellent write
