Losing you...

by Bittersweet Sundown   Dec 14, 2006

Nothing left for me to do,
Since I can't have you.
I gave up on trying to get you back,
Because confidence is what I lack.

You don't like me,
But I just want you to see.
I can no longer smile,
My sorrow is all in a pile.

My happiness is unseen,
Because people keep being mean.
They tell me what I already know,
And more, my saddness begins to show.

I know you moved on,
And that our love is pretty much gone.
But no matter what I'll always love you,
Maybe someday, you'll find that you still love me too.

But until then,
My heart will slowly mend.
Until I give out my heart,
And another tears it apart.

Then I'll put the pieces back together,
Hoping our memories will make things better.
You see me less everyday,
And maybe its better off this way.

We'll just stay as friends,
Until BOTH of our hearts mend.
And until that day,
I'll remember what you used to say.

I'll remember how you loved me,
And at one point we were meant to be.
Those memories are all I've got,
And trust me, they mean a whole lot.

I'll remember your arms around me, holding me tight,
In the cold winter night.
I'll remember looking at the stars above,
I'll remember how much we were in love.

Some day our love will once again be true,
And I'll be with you.
I just wish that day was here,
Because losing you is my biggest fear...

**this is kind of long, and I honestly don't think its all that great. But comments would be great to read, so I can get a better incite on how I write THANKS**
