Mommy Isn't Here

She was only small
And just didn't understand
Why mommy wasn't there
And no longer held her hand

She would cry into her pillow
Lonely tears throughout the night
Now that mommy's left her
Things just don't seem right

Then something crossed her mind
And she went running to her dad
She sat on his lap and softly said
"Daddy, have I been bad?"

"It's just that Mommy isn't here
And things just aren't the same"
Her daddy wrapped her in his arms
And said, "You're not to blame"

"Mommy still loves you honey
And she misses you each day
It's just hard for her to visit
When she lives so far away"

"You see Mommy is an angel
Amd she lives up in the sky
She's always watching over you
So baby, wipe your eyes"

The little girl hugged her daddy
And put a smile on her face
Safe now in the knowledge
Her mommy was in a better place ©

    Oh wow thats an absolutly amazing poem. your an amazing writer. that has a lot of emtion, and i can relate totally, its just my dad is gone not my mom. well my mom is sorta gone to she left me when i was 6. keep up the amazing work. you are a very inspiring writer

    This poem is really sad ( 0.s i actually read it 3 times) It touched my heart so much but the 3 times thing is true i really love it its so emotional and sad and it brought tears to my eyes to imagine me in the girls place and what her father said hurt so bad when i read it .

    Right nowim going through a hard time ive lost my mom cuz of family problems and i cant say that i now how you ment cuz i dont and i do cuz i dont live with my mom ....but its a good poem i love it good work!
