Powers from Above

You taught the sun to shine,
You taught the wind to blow.
You taught the fire to burn,
and taught the water to flow.

You taught the clouds to rain.
You taught the angels to sing,
You taught the earth to grow.
and the birds to spread their wing.

You taught the humans to care,
you taught them how to talk.
You taught them how to dance,
you taught them how to walk.

You taught us how to feel,
you taught us how to love.
I guess we are sort of ungrateful,
for the powers from above.
