Confiding in Words

by Zach-E   Dec 14, 2006

Sorrow, when she's here with me,
A veil of happiness I'll try to lace,
To forge a smile upon my face,
An eternal friendship I'll decree,
A lie to be in any case.

I'll borrow, meanwhile, a mended heart,
To stare at you with no remorse,
As impassive actors I'll act my part,
But inside my heart grows ever hoarse,
Screaming of love I wish not to find,
Holding you close inside my mind.

Had only the future been clear to see,
I'd know how doomed it was to be,
Alas, path of agony I'll forcibly abide,
To control emotions still burning inside,
My feelings I'll let confide, in poetry.

Whoa! That was beyond words. Your poetry is so beautiful and pained. The words you used were really well chosen, and the way you used them made them even more perfect. Keep it up!

This was amazing. Not that I expected anything less. This was beautifully penned. I suppose I have a preferance for rhyming poetry as opposed to ones that don't. I love the flow of this and it was done with class. Superb Job
