I remember the days
We would drive endlessly in your car
Just listening to music
To distances near and far

I remember the nights
I'd hide away with you
Cuddling in your arms
It seemed so real and true

I remember the time
I told you to go away
Not knowing what I'd done
Still longing for you today

I remember years later
You standing at my hearts door
Still feeling the same
As the many years before

I remember I loved you
Just like I do today
But I fell in love with another
And I don't know what to say

I remember crying
I never thought you'd take me back
But here you are again
Wishing to be on the same last track

I remember I miss you
And you want to be with me
But it seems too late now
For I am a future bride to be

    In a funny sort of way (though i'm not engaged or anything) i have before left someone i really did love for someone else... and these days i really do wonder what could have been if i'd kept them. i relate in a strange way. its a horrible feeling, and an awesome poem.

    Wow! what an unexpected ending, but if this is true....don't marry someone if you're not in love. It isn't fair to them. There is a line in a song that goes like this, "Do you really want to give your life to thinking you found true love, when it hasn't found you?" It's about a girl telling a guy she could be his everything and make HIM happy, but she's not in love with him, and she knows that's not fair.
    Don't know why, but I thought I'd share that.
