Scattered Pictures

by Gem   Dec 14, 2006

There's scattered pictures
On my bedroom floor
Reminds me of good times
Bad times and more

I take my finger
And trace out your smile
Before taking another
From the messy pile

Another snap of us
I forget where we are
Grinning at the camera
Eyes shining like stars

Pick up yet another
This time you're asleep
It's funny how a picture
Can cause thoughts so deep

I look down at the floor
And see my life map
All my memories
Are held in each snap

Birthdays, nights out
Ordinary days
A picture says more
Than any words can say ©

    Hey Gem,
I was wondering in the Laugh Out Loud contest I'm holding if you would post a diff funny poem. It's nothing personal at all cuz you know I always enjoy your stuff. It's just that because Christmas is really a religious thing, I was hoping you could submit a different one. Nothing against you...I just like my contests to not have an religious element to them (I am religious, and a strong believer in the Bible, but it's easier for me to judge contests when I won't be biased because of personal beliefs. You know?) hope you understand and hope you repost!
    Thanks!
