Helpless

Find her in the corner,
Smell the beer in the air,
Drunken dad leaned over her,
Too bad life is so unfair,

See those bruises on her arms,
The frighted look in her eyes,
She wishes for an alarm,
To escape from nights she cries.

She comes to school one day,
Black eyed and bloody nosed,
Colorful days turned gray,
Her sadness only grows,

She has nothing left to feel,
Nothing left to live life for.
She cuts to deep to heel
Her life leaves her, no more.

He finds her in the corner,
Cuts marked across her wrists,
He has no guilt for her,
As his hands turn into fists.

He raped her when she lived,
He beat her when she died.
Her spirit lays above him,
and all she does is cry.

Wow, what a really powerful poem. I can relate to this, it's really raw. Props on the flow. I'm sorry to hear about this kind of stories.

Sad. Terribly Sad, I hope it's not true because that would be horrible.
You had a great flow, perfect imagery, and your vocabulary was very good too! Keep it up! 5/5
