Where is the justice?

by geeeeee   Dec 15, 2006

An innocent 14 year old girl
Kicked out on the streets
She sings a soft lullaby
To her unborn child

The young man with no education
Struggles to see tomorrows light
Spitting rhymes and dealing dope
Bringing in the money to survive

Mother holds in her wrinkled hands
A one month bill, overdue
Working overtime but still slipping under
Smiles are far from few

The man of the house, father
Is never around at home
Earning money to put his kids through school
Yet he misses watching them grow

Mr President, and Mr Prime Minister
Go about their daily lives
Yet at the end they go home
To their nice warm beds

Where is the justice in that?
Where is the justice in that?

Yes, Alice In Wonderland has inspired some of my poems. Like Alice in Wonderland trying to make sense of the way things are that don't make sense your poem shows the insanity of the absurd. You see something and try to make sense of it. Sadly, not everything makes sense at the time and sometimes will never make sense.
