Our Friendship

by Avrii Monrielle   Dec 15, 2006

Thank you for our friendship
The way you help me out
You find a way to make my day
And push out fears and doubts

When my day's either good or bad
You always make sure I'm never sad
I love the way you never care
About the clothes I always wear

You, my friend, are a treasure
That's always here, no matter the weather
When something's wrong, you take control
Friends like you are worth more than gold

I wonder how you can always be
So far away, yet so close to me
Right now, I'm staring at my bedroom wall
I know that you'll catch me whenever I fall

There'll be many days
With gallons of rain
But when the rain goes
You don't wash away

I'm glad to have someone who tells the truth
And accepts me, old or new
Not too many people have that much trust
But you, my friend, are a must

Thank you for our friendship
I can't wait to help you out
I'll make your day
And get rid of your doubts

Whether your day is good or bad
I'll cheer you up when you feel sad
And I can tell that I'd never care
About how you act or what you wear

I hope that I, too, am a treasure
Worth more than gold by the measure

Thank you for our friendship.
