No Regret

A bead, and a sigh is all I have
to plead you not to go.
A glance in pity is all you give
no regret you have to show.

But if remorse should find you
in the loneliness of time.
Know that I'll be here always
ready again, to call you mine.

Be it soon, in a year or two,
or even when we're old and grey.
The fond memories within me now
will be here till my final day.
