Darkness.

by Capri   Dec 15, 2006

Darkness, depression,
It all surrounds us,
Day after day,
our soul's stripped away.

She looked me in the eyes and quietly said,
I'm tired of living,
tired of breathing,
Theres nothing here for me anymore.
I took her hand, held it tight.
She pulled away,
Lost in the night.
She fled to her room,
Picked up her stash,
Pills and a razor,
Gone in a flash.
To the bathroom she went,
Downed all the pills,
The razor was next
As she slit her wrists.

I was too late,
I opened the door,
The blood surrounded her
and I sank to the floor.
I looked at her closely,
Watching her die,
The color soon left,
I continued to cry.
Her death came slowly,
The pain took her body.
She stood not a chance,
As she took her last breath.
