Everyone knows you are an Awesome Father
People also know you are my best friend

I know this world has failed you at times
As I have often seen the pain in your eyes
And I felt your spirit breaking

The struggles of life have hurt you
But throughout this Ive still seen you smile
Sometimes your smile has been subtle and sad

But not once has it disappeared altogether
I see that as your strength and bravery
And you wear it with pride

I saw you try to take your life it was almost too late
I felt you close to deaths door
I think you even went in for a quick visit

So we had to fight it off helped you turn your back
It was ravaging your spirit attacking our hero
No way would it take you away

Then I stood back to watch you battle
You took every hit again and again
And then you won you came through
With that beautiful smile... still there !!!

Your smile has lasted throughout all of this
Your courage and bravery shines on your face
You know deep down that you are a survivor
