It's like I'm falling into a pit
and i can't catch myself
dragging my finger nails through the dirt
trying to slow this down
trying to crawl through the dark
but things keep getting in my way
i feel like I'm going in circles
and it's been far too long now
i just need someone to come save me
someone to show me the light
take me out of this endless pit
and tell me everything will be alright
someone to come and guide me
when it's in circles that i crawl
someone to take my hand
and get me through it all
the nights get a little colder
and the air is seeping through the walls
i wrap my arms around myself
right where yours used to be
the days seem a little longer
and I'm starting to hate the past
wondering why you left me here
as i cry for what once was
i just need someone to come save me
someone to show me the light
take me out of this endless pit
and tell me everything will be alright
someone to come and guide me

i cannot seem to recall tonight
the time of my last smile
i cannot seem to hear my laughter
coming through my mouth
it seems like its been forever
and i don't want to see tomorrow
this pit is getting deeper
and slowly, i am letting go
