Long thoughts, Happy Endings

I sat there on the green grass
with the blue sky right above me
watching the glory white clouds pass,

Thinking of the time
we spent that whole night together
wishing it would of lasted a lifetime,

I tell myself I love you
knowing that the truth still lies ahead
but still had no clue,

Knowing all this
and still wanting to spend more time with you
everything was still caught in amiss,

But when you looked in my eyes
when I had told you I loved you
there were no lies,

Though now you are here with me
and knowing that you will never leave
I am as happy as could be.
