Come Clean

As I stand
Under this pouring rain,
I let it wash over
All of my heartache and pain.

I\\\'ve been lying to myself
For far too long,
Even though in my heart
I know it is wrong.

The truth is just
To painful to reveal.
So I continue to lie,
And keep on truth a seal.

I pretend to be okay,
But on the inside I\\\'m dying.
So to keep up appearances
I keep up the lying.

One day someone will
Break through this shell,
And realize that within
I\\\'m going through hell.

So as I continue
On myself to lean
In hopes that one day
I can completely come clean.
