As we close the door
On what has been forever
I try to understand what happened
For us not to be together.

The love that we shared
Was "oh" so very strong
It's really hard to understand
How it all went wrong.

I guess i saw a side to you
That I had never seen before
Which is a large part of the reason
I can't love you anymore.

I also find it hard
To accept things from your past
So I guess really we were destined
To never ever last.
