Who does Daddy talk to?

Who does Daddy talk to
Every night when we go to bed
I sit from in my wooden crib
And watch Daddy bow his head

He whispers sweet and softy
And I hear Mommy’s name
He talks to someone every night
And what he says is always the same

He thanks them for his family
And thanks them for his son
He tells them how much he loves me
And that Mommy’s the only one

He asks them for a miracle
For his buddies back with him
That with us his days are sunny
And without us they are grim

After talking for a while
Daddy gets off his knees
I see a tear run down his face
I think for Mommy and me

I love my Daddy very much
And I know he loves me
I know how much he loves Mommy
And with us how happy he will be
