Miracle On Lifes Avenue

by Royal   Dec 18, 2006

The gun doesn't fire this time especially when it fired yesterday.
The poison that you drank didn't go down an on the floor you lay.

The knot unties although tightly tied from around your neck.
The blades used to erase your pain have disappeared from their set.

Before you choose never to return your ex-love calls to say I love you.
Many don't believe in Miracles on Life Avenue but I surly do.

When you feel all alone someone comes who understands.
The one bad thing that always happens doesn't thats the plan.

The person you wished never to see again is crying in your arms.
You told that person before that you'd protect them from all harm.

The day you're late to work the towers come crashing down.
The day that you choose to be happy you've changed someones frown.

The person that just saved your life today you always hated.
Against all possible odds the underdog in life made it.

You hear you mom say I'm watching you but shes been dead for years.
The next day you leave a store then gun shots fill your ears.

The day you take the shortcut you save a girl from being kidnapped.
Without Miracles on Life Avenue everythings a mishap.

I believe more now, you should to that Miracles happen on Life's Avenue.
