Great was never good enough
beautiful was never pretty enough
after a lifetime of depression
heartbreak and pressure
i always thought that someday
perfect would find its way
to help all those like me
threw all their pain and misery
just make them enough
good enough
no one should feel pain over a silly word
i know it seems so tough
to know that your not enough
for those who judge you
and nudge you to wear and act in ways you know aren't you.
take a look at yourself in the mirror.
your everything a girl could wish for underneath this cover of who you think you are.
perfects just a word.
and to the girls who think their perfect in every way,
i encourage you to take a look in the mirror
and look at yourself in another way.
look straight through your fake exterior.
look at yourself,
and know your not superior.
to the girls who know who they truly are inside.
