Why did i hold on ?

I should have let go
Before you hurt me
But now I know
I was to blind to see

Love takes the heart
And turns it inside out
Ripping your world apart
When before its stance was stout

Brought up from the ground
Was this broken soul
Now it is found
Within another hole

Burn through this skin
Try to mend my heart
The layers are growing thin
And my world's falling apart

But there's nothing left to do
When the pain becomes to much
And with life we're through
Because of satin's touch

Why is love so broken?
And tears at the seams
When your heart is spoken
It becomes dead with the screams

Pain will echo on
Till the end of time
When you thought it was gone
Your love wasn't worth a dime

Your spirits fall low
And suddenly hit the ground
This you should know
As through me it has been found

I'm lost in the fire
Burned is my flesh
Sought by loves desire
That now turns to mesh

There's not much to do
Other than wait for time
To take what its put me through
And rid my soul of this crime...
