My Promise!

Love is like a fairytale that never comes to life,
You put your heart and soul into it but your left with pain and strife.
I have loved and lost and learned a few things too,
But still i cant help but love you!
My life, Simple and meaningful when i spent my days with you
and now it seems like the smile on my face isn't so true.
I spend most days in my daily routine, Working and cleaning and dreaming of you.
I sometimes remember the way things used to be,
and how so much has changed between you and me!
I miss that way you used to look at me and just by that i knew...
That i truly loved you and you loved me too!
I look back on our time we spent together
and how you used to hold me tight and tell me we'd be together forever!
I still remember how you looked the night of our first kiss,
and even though it wasn't perfect every second was pure bliss.
I look at pictures of us and cant help but think how good we look together,
and how i wish i had that chance of being with you forever!
Every time i hear your voice or see your face again,
I wonder why our love ever came to an end.
I love you with all my heart and just how much i never knew,
until the day you said to me i just cant be with you.
We made so many promises to each other that always seemed to fall through,
but the promise I'm making is one ill always keep for you.
I promise you will always be my first and only love,
the one ill always think about and want to hold onto.
You will always be the one i want by my side and the one I dream of every night.
I promise you are my first and only love and the times we shared and the things we overcome
will always be apart of me and something I'm proud of.
I promise that if by chance i move on and meet someone new,
I will always love and Cherish the time i spent with you!
