If Only

by Lindsay   Dec 18, 2006

If only I was able,
If only I knew.
If only I was capable,
If only I flew.

If only I could
Do everything I wanted.
Everything would be as it should,
And not away from me bunted.

If only I could know
Everything even the most fainted.
The arrow and bow,
Would not taunt my heart always tainted.

If only I was capable
Of my own expectations,
Every ounce of my knowledge sapable,
From my mind to the nations.

If only I could fly
Away from all my fears.
Even my sorrows sigh,
And calm even my tears.

If only,
Those are the words most dear.
If only,
Those are the words you most hear.

If only,
If only.
