I Wish

I wish,
I could fly.

My mind would float
Because of all my dreams.

I wish,
I could soar.

High above the clouds,
Into the never ending sky.

I wish,
I could swim.

Among the marshmallow soft clouds
And orange swirling sky.

I wish,
I could be carried away.

The wind would take me
Into the black void of space.

I wish,
I could dream.

Dream away the fears
And watch the stars go by.

I wish,
I could be serene.

Feel the enclosing silence around me
And never fear of what might be ahead.

I wish,
I could sleep.

Sleep and never wake up
From a wonderful dream as this.
