As I sit down,
At the beginning of each lesson,
I sit scared,
When will they say something?
They always do,
I don’t know how long I can take it,
It is driving me crazy,
Almost in tears,
Because of the things said,
I’m scared to go,
Because it hurts,
And they don’t know,
They think it’s a laugh and a joke,
But they don’t see,
The pain it causes inside.
As I walk,
Down the corridor,
I look around,
I know they’re saying something,
I try to ignore it,
I try to move on,
But I know,
They’re saying mean things,
I don’t know them,
Yet they’re mean,
I don’t know,
How I deal,
But I do,
And I move on,
Even though it hurts.
