Stolen innocence

by Jenny   Dec 20, 2006

I should have known better then to fall in love,
but I was just a young teen,
Stuck in between what's right and wrong.
In my blindness I thought you loved me too,
only to see that, that was untrue.
The thing you wanted from me was the only thing I still had.
Dealing with 10 minutes of pain mixed with pleasure,
Just to find your love didn't measure.

Painfully I figured out,
that guys aren't always what they seem to be.
I'm older and wiser and since, and then moved on with my life,
But that still doesn't change the fact that you selfishly stole away my innocence.
