TRIBUTE

by Nikki   Dec 20, 2006

Family and friends, tears are for the sad
My dear uncle left to be with the Lord and for this we should be glad
Dont waste your time grieving
No need to feel distressed
This very rough road is ended, Jesus knows best

Dont vex yourselves with questions or try to reason why
Life for him is ended; it came his time to die

We often live our lives without thought or care
That death will come; so we must prepare
Prepare for this final journey and use our gifts well
To render service to our sovereign king while on this earth we dwell

We should have no regrets and have charted the narrow course
Demonstrating how to love and give without remorse
We cant help but miss you Uncle for we were blessed
To know such a humble, peaceful, cheerful soul to that we can attest

Despite your discomfort you remained thankful and forgiving
You never would complain
Mostly reassuring us while suppressing your pain

Uncle how are you?
I'm alright you know you would reply
You were grateful for a hello and always had a smile
You kept it safe on the inside so it would multiply
Then gave it willingly with love and grace as the need arise

Love is giving for each others needs
Love is sharing as the Lord leads
Love is caring when the world cries
Love is compassion with Christ like eyes
Love is family and family is never leaving anyone behind

So dear uncle as it was in life
We promise again we will meet
In glory when all is well with the world
At our saviours feet

We will hold on to the love we shared
Grow it with prayer and worship
Feed it with Gods words and fulfill our lifes purpose
